This festival for free spirits takes place at the Salmo River Ranch which is located 45 minutes south of Nelson. Featuring six stages and music ranging from hip-hop to trance, Shambhala will have visitors up and dancing all weekend. The event also features amazing light shows and displays, as well as vendors, exhibitions and activities.

Heritage Days

Held the third weekend of September, Heritage Days is when Nelson celebrates its rich past. A parade is held through the downtown core, a pancake breakfast is held, as is a vintage car show.
