The Nelson Museum The Nelson Museum has several exhibits showcasing the history of the area. There are community history exhibits, art exhibits, and a pleasure boats and memorabilia area, featuring the legendary Ladybird Speedboat. The Ladybird was raced for over 25 years, and in 1933 established a record speed of 68 miles per hour. The Nelson Archives and Historical Society are also located here. Chamber of Mines of Eastern BC Museum and Resource Center The Nelson Mining Museum has an extensive collection of rare rocks and minerals as well as fossils from Nelson and area as well as around the world.
